Burn Awareness February

Things you can do to keep your child from being burned or scalded:
- Test bathwater temperature before placing child in the water
- Set water heater temperature to 120 degrees
- Don’t hold or carry a child when using a stove or microwave
- Don’t use microwave to heat bottles of formula
- Use back burners on stove or make sure to turn pan handles to back off stove, out of reach
- Create a “safe zone” at least 3 feet in front of the stove. Don’t allow small children with in the zone
