CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey

Center for Disease Control conducts a Youth Risk Behavior Survey every 2 years. This survey looks at teen health risk behaviors related to unintentional injuries, violence and many other risky behaviors of teens. The survey assists Federal, State and local agencies design programs and services to better fit the needs of their teen populations. In the 2015 survey of South Dakota it was noted 91.9 % of South Dakota teens never or rarely wore a bicycle helmet and that 63.2% have texted when driving.
